I spent the weekend re-organizing my studio for Heirloomen Vintage. I often feel like I amass so much stuff that never gets a proper place, I eventually reach a breaking point and must re-shuffle my design to accommodate the constant influx of new vintage, and the vacancy of sold items. Space is tight in my apartment, but I do the best I can.
Most of the clutter was accessories, such as hats, shoes, and jewelry. The clothing is all on racks or in my closet. I went through each hat box and grouped everything by for-sale, or not-for-sale, and then by color. I find old hat boxes so charming and useful for storage.
My filing cabinet from Class & Trash RVA was made into a keeper for old photographs, costume jewelry, and vintage clutches. It’s also a great display shelf for some of my collected treasures. One row of the cabinet is missing the drawers. I’ve lined this row with lace (found at a yard sale), and will use it to store small purses.
Now.. I am tasked with getting all these hats listed in the shop!
