I love Edwardian pieces so much, especially blouses. They are full of fine details, little laced edges, intricate structuring and/or flattering and complicated seams. They just don’t make them like they used to..
Edwardian cottons are also versatile and can be worn with a modern wardrobe. This is great for people who feel weird in vintage – No, you won’t feel like you’re in a costume. Antique tops look good with skirts, over dresses, or even with denim. Interested in Edwardian cottons? There are some items available in my shop, here.
I’m wearing this Edwardian blouse with a pair of Frame Denim jeans and a vintage leather clutch. The wooden and leather heels are from the 1970’s and they are too cute for me to part with, but maybe too high for me to wear often. Such a dilemma. Check out the cute details on this blouse that make it so special. It’s also in such great shape for being 100 years old.
Vintage look of the day – Edwardian white cotton blouse with locket and 80’s teal skirt. Checking out the goose pond in this cute vintage and thrifted outfit.
What is it about Edwardian cottons? They are full or details and romance and remind me of times I never experienced myself. Alas, I have this Edwardian blouse to cover my shoulders on a sunny day. The wind is kicking up and I am blowing in the breeze.
My vintage 80’s skirt is a beautiful shade of sea foam blue. My locket was a gift to me that belonged to my husband’s great-grandmother. It is truly beautiful and I enjoy wearing pieces with meaning. My shoes Stuart Weitzman found second-hand (the best deals on shoes are one season old on consignment).
Mixing and matching vintage eras has been the most fun for me. It keeps me from feeling like I’m in strict period costume, and allows me to think outside the box. It is also better for people who work in an environment with a more professional dress code. Corporate life can only kill creativity so much.
As for the geese, there were too many. Who is feeding these things? They are aggressive as all hell. Don’t worry, I was not attacked while taking these photos.
